On Saturday 7 October 2023, the wider Street Cosmos family had a trip to Newcastle's Centre for Life, as part of their 'Spotlight on Satellites' day.
110 people, adults and children, from Blackhall, Bishop Auckland and Barnard Castle across 3 coaches, came together at Life, to learn about the growing North-East space industry; Durham University's involvement in NASA James Webb Space Telescope, and what careers they might want in space!
The group had a wonderful time exploring the museum, and for some of the little ones it was their first trip to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. They left wanting more, and are anticipating a fun year ahead with Street Cosmos activities!
Huge thanks to the Durham University Science Engagement Team and the welcoming folks at the Centre for Life.
